In the present era when the whole
world is developing at a “Supersonic” pace and when the
whole world is being transformed into a “Global Cottage”, it has
really become very much inevitable for us to maintain the pace
so that we can move with the world hand-in-hand. Every second,
every minute, every hour and every day, new things are happening
thereby laying the foundations of some more new changes to come.
All these things have become feasible due to the expanding
horizons of science and technology. To maintain the growth rate
requires continuous efforts coupled with the sound
infrastructure produced with the most efficient utilization of
resources. The mankind has succeeded to achieve this with its
wisdom. The pioneers of Vallabh Vidyanagar Shri Bhaikaka
and Shri Bhikhabhai, with their inherent foresightedness
could envision such a change in the educational scenario quite a
half century back. Therefore they endeavored to establish this
township of Vallabh Vidyanagar and the educational trust
Charutar Vidya Mandal. The task was then very well taken up by
Dr. H. M. Patel. The education based on values and quality
is the “need of the hour” for the society. The Charutar
Vidya Mandal is therefore committed to provide this “need of the
hour” education to the society. The Charutar Vidya Mandal was
the first to provide the concept of self-financed colleges
in applied sciences and has pioneered many new colleges and
institutes of studies and research in the last one and half
decades. Govindbhai Jorabhai Patel Ayurveda College is
established in the year 2006-07. Equipped with sophisticated
technological gadgets and highly qualified and competent
staff, the college is already hailed as a Model Ayurveda
College in the country. Being the first ever English
medium Ayurveda College in the state of Gujarat and
established on the sound principles of self finance, the
institute is one of it's kind in the country. The attached
Surajben Govindbhai Patel Ayurveda Hospital which started as
a small OPD unit in January, 2005 has made a giant leap forward
in the health care sector. From a mere 30 out patients in
January, 2005, the OPD today attracts around 300 patients a day
on an average. In patient wards are occupied fully more or less
and get benefited from variety of treatment procedures. More
than 50,000 patients have been treated and Medicine worth around
30 Lakhs has been distributed absolutely free to the
patients over a period of time. Out door camps are conducted on
regular basis and the programmes like 'Suvarna Prashana'
attract more than 1000 children on a given day for installation
of 'Gold Drops' prepared by the institute itself to
promote the mental faculties of the children. With such a great
and vibrant laboratory available for acquiring practical
knowledge the students are well exposed to the most recent
advances taking place in the field of medicine. The gamut of
extra-curricular activities provides an extra edge to the
students in this competitive world by developing their overall
personality. I, therefore, very heartily welcome you to one of
