This unit offers comprehensive management of

Panchakarma (Bio-Purification) |

It can be considered as the backbone of
health management in any Ayurvedic hospital. The Panchakarma
unit provides the full range of classical Panchakarma
procedures. These along with allied procedures like ‘Shirobasti’,
‘Shirodhara’, Pichu, ‘Parisheka, Upanaha, Sarvanga Bashpa
Swedana, Valuka pottali Swedana, Pinda sweda, Katibasti,
Janubasti are effectively used in patients of a variety of
neurological, Masuculo-skeletal and related disorders. Many
chronic skin diseases like psoriasis, eczema, leucoderma etc.
are managed through a variety of Panchakarma procedures in the
order ‘Vamana’, followed by ‘Virechana’ & ‘Raktamokshana’.
Keraliya Panchakarma procedures like
Pizichil Navarakizhi, Annalepana, Snehadhara, Takradhara are
also done here.

The potential of Ayurvedic management in
effectively treating some surgical problems is self evident and
could well be realized the way this OPD is presently working.
Agonising ano-rectal diseases like ‘Arsha’ (Piles),
‘Bhagandara’ (Fistula-in-ano) fissure etc. are successfully
managed by the unique Ayurvedic-Shalya technique of
‘Ksharasutra’ application. Recently introduced age old
specialized Shalya procedures –‘Agnikarma’ (Cauterization) &
‘Viddha chikitsa’ (Venu-Puncture) - are fast picking up their
momentum and have added a new dimension to this department. The
above procedures have shown encouraging results in cases of
Sciatica, Arthritis, Spondilitis, Corn, Various Skin Diseases
etc.

Shalakya Tantra (Ophthalmology, E.N.T. &
Dentistry) |

This OPD is specially working in the
direction of popularizing the sophisticated Ayurvedic
procedures like ‘Netra–Tarpana’, ‘Shirobasti’, ‘Nasya’,
‘Karnapoorana’ etc. Apart from the routine examinations, special
emphasis is given on Ayurvedic Management of Eye, E.N.T. &
Dental diseases.

Tantra (Obstetrics & Gynecology) |

This OPD aims for prevention and cure of
various problems relating Gynecology and Obstetrics. Pure
Ayurvedic treatments are offered in terms of Ayurvedic
procedures like Uttarbasti, Pichu, Pottli, Agnikarma, Ksharkarma
etc. An operation theater, full of essential amenities is also
being developed. Subjects of infertility are being successfully
managed in collaboration with the Kayachikitsa department.

Balaroga (Pediatrics) |

This
OPD offers complete Ayurvedic management for many of the
pediatric disorders including Cerebral Palsy, Polio Myelitis,
and Muscular Dystrophy etc. Delayed milestones are another
important area where this department is constantly producing
good results through Ayurvedic treatment.
Recently special camp
series is going on for Suvarnaprashanna in children under 5
years of age. It is orally administered in the form of drops
with an intention of overall improvement in general immunity,
intelligence, metabolism & growth in the recipients. |
